The Mehrab Tahajjud (محراب تہجّد), also spelled as Mihrab Tahajud, was a memorial marker situated at the place where prophet Muhammad used to offer Tahajjud Salah (prayer). The place was located along the northern wall of Fatima bint Muhammad and her husband Ali's house. Later on a niche (mihrab) was built to identify/mark the location.
An old picture of the Mehrab, it has been covered in the recent years. The actual Mehrab of Tahajjud is approximatly 10 feet behind this outer mehrab, where prophet Muhammad used to offer Tahajud Salah.

The Dikkat ul-Tahajjud (tahajjud platform) is a small raised area adjacent to the north wall of the Rawdah Sharif. It is located directly ahead if one enters from the Bab Jibraeel, and south of the Dikkat ul-Aghwat (visible to the right) which is usually mistaken with the Suffah. This platform has moved towards north somewhat during various reconstructions and re-building of the Masjid an-Nabawi.
